In this postcard, M. introduces me to the idea of "funicular", which I still can't believe is an actual word.

This is the Christ figure atop the mountain, Cerro San Cristobal. The funicular (little train on a pulley you ride to the top) had a plaque which said Pope JP II had ridden the same funicular on his way to bless the city; who knew? Anyway, I thought you of all people could appreciate quirky religiosities.
